Thanks to Steve Wells - who pointed this bizarre
occurrence out - back in Joe Banana's in Wanchai, Hong Kong, in 1993.....
Names of weird/difficult things........... have
weird/difficult names.
Examples are needed for you to see what he means....
 | People who cannot spell........ are dyslexic.... try to
spell dyslexic!! |
 | People who pronounce the letter R as WR..... suffer from
Rotism... when they explain this to people.... what problem do they
have??...... WRotism!! I worked with a guy once who had this problem - and -
silly sod - compounded it by saying... "I have trouble with my arse!" - he
meant ... "I have trouble with my R's" |
 | People who speak using small, single syllable
words.....are............Monosyllabic - Monosyllabic isn't a word they'd be
happy to try and say - this example was identified by Rena Ang, minutes after
being told of the two example above - clever hey?? |
 | People who cannot pronounce the letter "S" properly ......
lisp... l-i-th-p |
 | People who stutter frequently have problems with
hard “t’s”. Stutter has two/three of them! (Thanks to Ralph Magro for
this one (2/7/2004) |
 | There are many more - will dredge them up..... |
